Scent story // Achill Island is a place of incredible natural diversity. From fragrant lavender to subtle heather. On a recent trip there, we stumbled across a patch of wild lavender growing along a track, on the far west of the Island. The scent was almost out of place, as it reminded me of warmer and more gentle places. With the wind coming in off the Atlantic, the lavender had an intensity to it. We focused in on the lavender leaf and the primary scent, bringing along fresh citrus and subtle sweetness too.

We commissioned the wonderful Paula O’Hara to paint each of the botanicals in the collection. We love the idea of bringing together scent and art through the candle.
We include a frameable botancial print with each candle which is printed using soy inks onto gorgeous recycled card. If you would like a hand written note added, please include it at check out. We also have bespoke gift cards too, if you want your message included on one of those, just let us know.
Made in recycled glass jars with an aluminium lid. We are completely plastic free, from our container lids to all packaging. We are also proud to say each candle is blended, poured and finished in our Castlewellan studio - all by hand in small batches.
Caution:
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Always leave at least 10cm between candles. Do not burn on or near anything that can catch fire. Trim wicks to about 5mm before lighting each time. Always extinguish the candle and do not relight when the wax level is less than 10mm.
